The Co-Curricular Involvement App is a one-stop destination for students looking to get involved, stay informed, and make the most of their time on campus. The app also includes a community feed where students can stay up to date on the latest news and happenings on campus, and a QR code scanner that allows students to earn rewards points by checking into events. Resources
The Co-Curricular App makes it easy for students to find and access various campus resources. With this feature, students can easily locate and contact student affairs, academic advisors, and other support services, as well as access important information and resources related to their studies and campus life. By providing a centralized hub for campus resources, the Co-Curricular App helps students navigate their way through university and make the most of their time on campus. Whether you're looking for academic resources, want to find new opportunities, or just want to stay connected to your campus community, the resources section of the app has you covered.
Campus Groups
The Co-Curricular App allows users to join various campus groups, allowing them to connect with like-minded individuals and participate in activities and events organized by the group. With this feature, students can discover and join groups that align with their interests, hobbies, and goals. By joining a group, students can get involved in their campus community, make new friends, and build their networks. Additionally, group members can communicate and collaborate with each other through the app's messaging and discussion features. Whether you're looking to join a study group, volunteer organization, or sports team, the student engagement app makes it easy to find and join the right group for you.
Calendar
The Co-Curricular App offers a feature that allows students to discover and attend various events happening on campus! From workshops and seminars to social gatherings and performances, this feature helps students stay informed about what's happening on campus and find events that align with their interests. With a simple search or filter system, students can easily browse through a calendar of events and RSVP to the ones they want to attend. Whether you're looking to learn something new, have fun, or meet new people, the student engagement app makes it easy to find and attend the right events for you.
Community Feed
The community feed is where students can stay updated on the latest news and happenings on campus! With the community feed, students can stay connected to their campus community, stay informed about what's going on, and participate in discussions with other students. Whether you're looking for the latest announcements, want to share your achievements, or just want to stay in the loop, the community feed is a valuable resource for students looking to stay engaged on campus.
Rewards (Coming Soon)
The student engagement app includes a QR code scanner feature that allows students to earn rewards points by checking into events. By scanning a QR code at an event, students can easily track their attendance and earn points that can be redeemed for prizes and perks. This feature incentivizes students to get involved in campus activities and encourages them to attend more events. With the QR code scanner, students can also easily access event details, including location, schedule, and speaker information!
Co-Curricular Record
You can submit your CCR (co-curricular record) notations within seconds! The CCR feature is found in the research tab, or by accessing the side menu. Using this feature you can submit your CCR notations and you will be automatically prompted to complete your reflection! This takes the hassle out of getting credit for your campus experiences. The Co-Curricular Record is currently being transitioned to a new platform, and updated training videos will be provided shortly. If you have any questions email us at ccr@viu.ca.

Download the app.
VIU's Co-Curricular Involvement App is available on the Google Play and App Store. To begin, sign in with your VIU computer account. Next, be sure to set up your app profile and preferences!
Step 2:
Build your story.
Explore the amazing features of the app including groups, upcoming events, campus resources and opportunities to earn reward points and Co-Curricular Record (CCR) notations for your non-academic transcript.
Step 3:
Share your experience.
Participate in community discussions, snapshot challenges, submit your CCR reflections and earn prizes! Feel free to explore the many available campus groups or even start your own! Email us at ccr@viu.ca if you have any questions or if you'd like to get involved!
Frequently Asked Questions
The Co-Curricular Involvement App is created for students to utilize and transform their university experience. Students can use the different features to get involved on campus, find helpful VIU resources, and communicate with their peers. Both VIU faculty and employees have access to the application to ensure that all events, resources, and other important information is found within the app.
The App’s features have been created in a meaningful way to turn student involvement into engagement by putting the VIU community, events and resources into the students hands. By using the App students will have 24/7 support and access to the VIU community, including events and resources. The App is a convenient tool that can be utilized by all students to enhance their experiences and academic journey at VIU.
The app will be available for download using the links in the question below or you can access the access the web version.
The app is available for download on Google Play for Android and the App Store for iOS.
If you are unable to access your account please send us an email with a screenshot of the error you are having to AppTeam.CCR@viu.ca and we will be able to assist you with accessing your account.
To RSVP for an event, open the app and navigate to the event's tab. Then, tap the "Register" button and follow the prompts to confirm your attendance.
To join a group, open the app and navigate to the groups tab. Use the discover option at the top of the page to locate group you are interested in. Once you've located the group, tap the "Join Group" button and follow the prompts to request membership.
